Lansing senior fair draws about 500 attendees

Lansing's annual senior fair took place Wednesday, drawing an estimated 500 attendees, according to organizers.

The event offered seniors activities, vendor booths, food, live music and raffle prizes.

Emily Stevens, deputy director of parks and recreation, said gatherings like the fair show older residents that the community supports them. "They're the ones who helped build what's here," she said, adding that organizers wanted to thank seniors for their work and care in the community.
