Fugitive remains at large after police search in Lake County

A fugitive remained at large Thursday after Michigan State Police searched near a residence in Chase Township on Tuesday. Police said the investigation remains ongoing and the person was not located.

The search followed information that the wanted person might be barricaded inside a home. Specialized units responded, and officers cleared the area without incident. Police said there was no threat to the public.

Authorities have not identified the fugitive, disclosed what the person is wanted for or explained what led investigators to the residence.
