KKK recruitment flyers found in a Southeast Michigan community
Police in Melvindale said flyers appearing to recruit for the Ku Klux Klan were found in parts of the city after apparently being tossed from a vehicle. Residents contacted police, but no specific person appeared to be targeted and no formal complaints were filed.
Police Chief Christopher Egan said the flyers may have come from an Ohio group and have since been shredded. Similar flyers were reported in another Metro Detroit community, while a civil rights group urged anyone with information to contact local police.
