Peters presses election-control plan in Washington meetings
Former Colorado county clerk Tina Peters traveled to Washington this week for meetings with senior federal officials, promoting a plan to invoke emergency powers and expand federal control over elections before the November midterm elections.
Peters met with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and the Justice Department’s civil rights division chief. After her prison sentence was shortened in June, she has toured conferences and appeared on right-wing podcasts while repeating false claims that voting machines rig elections.
