Supreme Court temporarily allows White House ballroom work to continue
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday temporarily allowed the Trump administration to continue construction of a $400 million ballroom at the White House, pausing a lower-court order that would have halted much of the project.
Chief Justice John Roberts issued the administrative stay as the justices consider the administration’s request to continue work while a historic preservation group’s lawsuit seeking to stop the project proceeds.
