Voting groups seek enforcement of court block on mail-ballot restrictions
Voting access groups asked a federal judge in Boston to enforce an injunction blocking President Donald Trump’s order restricting mail voting while a legal challenge continues.
The filing followed a directive for the U.S. Postal Service to prepare new verification requirements for mail-in ballots. The rules would require voter names and home addresses on unique barcodes, but could take effect only if the Supreme Court lifts the injunction. At least five lawsuits challenge the order.
