Dearborn interfaith leaders rally against anti-Muslim hate

Interfaith leaders gathered Aug. 25 at a Dearborn church for a rally opposing anti-Muslim hatred and religious bigotry. The event brought together Muslim, Jewish and Christian speakers, along with Mayor Abdullah Hammoud and U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

The gathering followed a recent anti-Muslim protest in Dearborn and came as similar rhetoric has intensified during Michigan’s election season. Organizers said the church and its community center provide space for people from different faiths, cultures and languages to work together.
