Bald eagle undergoes treatment for severe lead poisoning in Eaton Rapids
A bald eagle is being treated at a rehabilitation center in Eaton Rapids after it was found unable to fly with critical levels of lead poisoning.
The eagle, named Charlevoix, arrived last week weak, unable to keep down food and lacking energy. The center’s director said the bird’s condition has made each day of rehabilitation challenging, but recovery remains likely.
