Lansing nonprofit opens grants for eligible Black-owned businesses

A Lansing nonprofit has launched a grant program offering two $11,250 awards to eligible Black-owned businesses. The Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan said the funding can support infrastructure, marketing, staffing, technology and expansion into new markets.

Applicants must be Black business owners descended from enslaved African Americans. Applications are open through Sept. 30, and the group plans to offer two additional grants next year with support from other financial institutions.
