Trump-aligned group launches $10 million Texas Senate ad campaign

MAGA, Inc., a political group associated with President Donald Trump, is spending $10 million on television and digital advertisements in the Texas Senate race, according to a Saturday filing with the Federal Election Commission.

The spending marks the group’s first significant investment in a major general-election contest. Republican nominee Ken Paxton faces Democrat James Talarico in a race Democrats view as a possible opportunity to expand the political map and challenge Republican control of the Senate.

The ads focus on taxes and portray Talarico as favoring broad tax increases, while promoting Paxton’s support for tax breaks for first-time homebuyers and families with children. Talarico’s campaign disputed those claims.
