Storm cleanup continues as some Ingham County outages remain
Power has returned to most of Greater Lansing, but 1,034 customers in Ingham County remained without electricity late Saturday, according to PowerOutage.com. Outage totals can change quickly as crews continue restoration work.
Thursday’s severe weather caused extensive tree damage around East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, Williamston, Mason and Holt. Lake Lansing Park South remains closed after fallen trees crushed part of its main shelter; the damaged section will be unusable for the rest of the season, while other county parks remain open.
Forecasters expect mostly sunny skies and a high near 77 degrees Sunday, providing favorable conditions for cleanup. Officials advised residents to avoid downed wires and treat every fallen power line as energized.
