Video game companies fight lawsuits over tariff-related price refunds

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are asking courts to dismiss lawsuits seeking refunds for higher console prices linked to tariffs imposed last year. The companies argue customers received the products they paid for and that pricing reflected several factors beyond tariffs.

Sony expects about $510 million in tariff refunds across its corporate group, while Microsoft has not disclosed its expected refund amount. Retailers including Walmart and Costco have said they intend to reduce costs for consumers affected by tariff-related price increases.
