58-year-old Jackson man dies after vehicle strike on scooter in Blackman Township

A 58-year-old man from Jackson died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter late Tuesday night in Blackman Township.

Officers were dispatched around 10:40 p.m. To Rosehill Road near Videto Lane after a 911 caller reported a man lying motionless in the roadway with a scooter next to him.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving efforts. Police said the vehicle and driver have not been identified, and investigators are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety at 517-788-4223.
