F-16 crash in Northern Michigan prompts evacuation order
An F-16 from the Texas Air National Guard crashed Thursday afternoon in Blair Township, southwest of Traverse City, during a joint training mission. The pilot ejected before the crash and was in stable condition, according to the guard.
Michigan State Police said a hazardous chemical spill prompted an evacuation within a one-mile radius. County officials ordered evacuations for businesses and homes near County Road 633 and Blair Townhall Road.
