Protect the Porkies challenges $50 million Copperwood grant

Protect the Porkies has filed an appeal in Ingham County Circuit Court challenging the Michigan Strategic Fund Board’s approval of a $50 million grant for the Copperwood mine project.

The group claims the board improperly reallocated funds approved for another project without legislative approval. Mine proponents say the grant was legal and the appeal has no merit.
