Former Metro Detroit doctor sentenced to nine years in child-sex-abuse case

A former Metro Detroit doctor was sentenced to 108 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to receiving child sexual abuse material. The case grew out of a multistate investigation involving four men.

Lincoln Erickson, 32, of Farmington Hills, was arrested in December 2025 while working as a medical resident at a Detroit hospital. He must also register as a sex offender. An FBI official said the sentence reflects severe consequences for possessing child sexual abuse material.
