Trump bans CNN, MSNOW and Politico from White House access

President Donald Trump said Friday he is banning CNN, MSNOW and Politico from the White House, citing what he called unfavorable coverage of his administration.

Trump threatened that additional media bans could follow, in what amounts to a fresh test of First Amendment protections for freedom of the press.

Trump has long objected to coverage he says casts him in a negative light. He has a history of filing lawsuits against news organizations and has repeatedly criticized individual reporters in person and on social media.
