Lansing to hold Election on Nov 3, 2026, with multiple offices up for vote

The City of Lansing will hold an Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, to elect candidates for a wide range of state, congressional, legislative, judicial, and local offices, including governor and lieutenant governor, Secretary of state, attorney general, U.S. Senator, state senator, and several local school district and community college positions.

Full text of the ballot proposals may be obtained at the Lansing Elections Office, 701 W. Jolly Rd., Lansing, Michigan 48910, telephone: (517) 483-4131. Voters who are not already registered may register to vote at the office of their local clerk, the office of their county clerk, a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms are available at www.Michigan.gov/vote and can be mailed or dropped off at the local clerk’s office. The last day to register in any manner other than in-person at the Lansing City Clerk’s Office is Monday, October 19, 2026.

Additional times and locations outside of the above listed regular business hours are as follows: any registered voter may request an absent voter ballot. No reason required. The Lansing City Clerk’s Office must have a signed application from the voter to issue an absent voter ballot. Applications are available at the locations referenced in the above tables or by visiting our website at LansingVotes.gov. Friday, October 30, 2026, at 5:00 pm is the deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you. Monday, November 2, 2026, at 4:00 pm is the deadline to request an absentee ballot in person, except for those who register to vote on Election Day. Those registering to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, are eligible to receive an absent voter ballot at the Lansing City Clerk’s Office, locations referenced in the above table.
