Arpit Saxena extradited to Ingham County Jail after MSU assault case

Arpit Saxena, a former Michigan State University physician, was arraigned Friday in East Lansing and is now being held at the Ingham County Jail on a $2 million bond.

Saxena was extradited from Georgia after being arrested at the Hartsfield‑Jackson Atlanta International Airport earlier this month. Law enforcement officials are investigating three additional reports related to his case, and he is prohibited from having contact with the women who accused him.

The university’s Department of Police and Public Safety has urged former patients to report or connect with resources. The department is available for any inquiries related to the case.
