RAGA showcases two new ads for Michigan Attorney General race

The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) unveiled two campaign ads today, “Doug Lloyd Tough On Crime” and “Eli Savit Dangerously Liberal on Crime,” as part of its Safer Michigan Fund effort to elect a conservative attorney general who will prioritize public safety in Michigan.

Doug Lloyd, the current Eaton County Prosecutor, brings more than three decades of courtroom and prosecutorial experience to the race. He helped establish Eaton County’s Economic Crime Unit, which has returned more than $10 million to victims, and has earned the backing of the Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM) for his candidacy.

Eli Savit, former Washtenaw County Prosecutor, offers a contrasting approach, having stopped prosecuting consensual sex work and certain entheogenic plant offenses while supporting no‑cash‑bail policies. RAGA’s executive director Adam Piper highlighted Savit’s record as a “far left, socialist sympathizing, soft on crime radical” who will stand with police and hold criminals accountable.
