Lyons man charged with arson after House fire

A 29-year-old Lyons man was arrested and charged with second-degree arson after a Thursday morning fire destroyed an abandoned house on John Street in the village, the Ionia County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies identified Ethan James Shattuck during the investigation, authorities said. He also faces a charge of lying to a police officer after allegedly providing a false name and false statements. Several area fire departments helped extinguish the blaze.
