On Sunday, Sept. 27, Eaton County Prosecutor Doug Lloyd and Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit faced off in a televised debate on WDIV-TV, addressing key issues such as artificial intelligence regulation and litigation over Enbridge’s Line 5.

Lloyd highlighted his commitment to pursuing federal government actions and protecting Michigan residents, while Savit promised to tackle corporate polluters and implement AI regulations under the Consumer Protection Act within his first 100 days.

Both candidates also pledged to investigate agencies under either a Democratic or Republican governor, and to continue or initiate litigation related to the oil pipeline, oil prices, and propane availability for Upper Peninsula residents.
