Republican Eaton County Prosecutor Doug Lloyd is campaigning for Michigan attorney general against Democratic Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit. Both candidates describe themselves as tough on crime, but they differ on consumer and environmental protection.

Savit has pledged to continue Attorney General Dana Nessel’s legal effort to shut down Enbridge Energy’s Line 5 pipeline in the Straits of Mackinac. Lloyd has said he would drop the state’s case.
