Savit defends immigration policies in Eaton County debate

During a televised debate on WDIV-TV, Democratic attorney general candidate Eli Savit defended his progressive prosecutorial record, including immigration policies, against Republican Doug Lloyd, the Eaton County prosecutor.

Savit highlighted his office’s focus on serious crimes, citing his elimination of cash bail, decriminalization of psychedelic drugs, and selective prosecution of low-level offenses to free resources for major cases.
