Parents of Iowa receiver Reece Vander Zee describe game-winning catch over Michigan

Meredith and Joe Vander Zee told coverage partner KCCI they called the catch.

Vander Zee caught the ball from quarterback Hank Brown in the final two seconds and the Hawkeyes stormed the end zone, celebrating the walk‑off win.

The Rock Rapids native and Hawkeye wide receiver finished with five receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

That big win moves Iowa to an undefeated 4‑0 this season. The 14th‑ranked Hawkeyes now get a shot at No. 5 Ohio State Saturday at Kinnick.
