Grand Ledge election NOTICE lists registration deadline and ballot proposals

Grand Ledge voters who are not registered may sign up online, at the city or county clerk’s office, at a Secretary of State branch or another designated state agency. The deadline for those options is Oct. 19; afterward, eligible voters must register in person at the Grand Ledge clerk’s office with proof of residency.

The Nov. 3 general election ballot will include candidates for state and federal offices, local offices and school boards, along with proposals on a state constitutional convention, campaign contributions, Eaton County transit funding, road improvements and a Grand Ledge Public Schools bond. The notice says the transit millage would support public transportation, including services for elderly and disabled residents, while the road proposal would fund county road and city and village street improvements.
