80th Michigan Antiquarian book & paper Show draws crowds in Lansing

The 80th Michigan Antiquarian Book & Paper Show opened today at the Causeway Bay Hotel and Conference Center in Lansing, drawing crowds of book lovers and collectors. Admission is $5, with a $1 discount coupon available in this paper, and free parking is offered for attendees.

The event features a wide range of literary and cultural treasures, including first editions, rare books, children’s books, science fiction, military history, mysteries, cookbooks, private press, and more. Vendors also offer ephemera such as magazines, sheet music, posters, postcards, trading cards, maps, atlases, and special prints.

Ray Walsh, the founder and longtime owner of Curious Books in East Lansing, stages the show, which has been running for more than 40 years and often occurs twice annually.
