Family of Renee Good sues US government over fatal ICE shooting
On Thursday, the family of 37‑year‑old Renee Good filed two federal civil lawsuits against the U.S. Government and senior officials, alleging that an ICE agent shot Good in Minneapolis earlier this year.
The first complaint, filed under the Federal Tort Claims Act, seeks wrongful death damages, while the second targets officials including White House senior adviser Stephen Miller, former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Border Czar Tom Homan, and ICE agent Jonathan Ross. The complaint alleges that Ross fired through Good’s windshield and open driver‑side window as her Honda Pilot was turning away from him, firing a round through the windshield and then twice more through her open window as the vehicle completed a turn.
Good’s brother Brent Ganger and partner Becca Good praised the lawsuit, while attorney Antonio M. Romanucci said the family had not heard back from the federal government.
