Mother designs ID bracelet for nonverbal child in Grand Ledge

Alyssa Miller, a resident of Grand Ledge, has created an identification bracelet for her 5‑year‑old son Santana, who is nonverbal and autistic.

The silicone band, engraved with Santana’s name, address, disability diagnosis, and emergency contact numbers, was customized and ordered through an online vendor.

Miller encourages other parents to adopt similar safety plans and notes that options such as backpack tags or AirTags can also help identify a child. A link to the bracelet is available on her Facebook page.
