Fatal crash of Eaton County road worker reignites calls for construction zone safety
Flags were lowered to half‑staff in Charlotte Wednesday in honor of a 24‑year‑old Eaton County Road Commission worker who was killed on the job.
Michigan State Police officials say the worker was directing traffic as a flagger on Lansing Road in Benton Township when he was struck by two vehicles Tuesday afternoon. Troopers responded around 2:30 p.m. To the crash near Nixon Road.
