Ionia Planning Commission approves residential rezoning for Morris property

The Ionia Planning Commission approved a request to rezone a property from the neighborhood business district to low-density residential use during a public hearing on Wednesday. The decision sends the proposal to the Ionia City Council for final consideration.

Homeowner Kylee Morris and her mother, Dendee Morris, appeared at the meeting to request the change for a home Kylee recently purchased. The property is currently designated as B1, or neighborhood business district, and the request seeks to change it to LDR, or low-density residential.
