Fenton man sentenced to 40 years for Ingham County home invasion
Golden Allen Brown, 62, of Fenton, was sentenced in Ingham County to 20 to 40 years in prison for first-degree home invasion, with credit for 841 days already served. The sentence resolves one of three criminal cases stemming from a July 2, 2024, crime spree that began in Ingham County and extended into Livingston County.
Police said Brown committed a home invasion, stole a truck, and carjacked another vehicle before leading authorities on high-speed chases across two counties. The pursuit ended in Genoa Township when Livingston County deputies deployed stop sticks at Grand River and Emmons Road, damaging the truck's tires. The vehicle spun out near Lawson Road and struck a westbound car head-on, injuring no one.
