Trump hosts annual Halloween celebration at the White House

A2D News Desk

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump distributed candy to hundreds of costumed children at the White House on Thursday for the annual Halloween event. The couple, who did not wear costumes, handed out jumbo candy bars to visitors who lined the driveway.

Trump posed for photographs with children dressed as various characters, including Barbie, Tigger, Batman, and several founding fathers. The White House entrance was decorated with pumpkins, ivy, and a large faux moon, while a military band performed Halloween classics.

During the hour-long event, Trump paused to watch a low flyover by his Qatari Air Force One jet. The celebration concluded with Trump dancing to the "Ghostbusters" theme song before the couple returned inside the residence.
