Michigan early voting surges 32% in first statewide midterm

Early voting in Michigan has increased by 32 percent compared to the same point in the 2022 midterm election, with the state recording roughly 409,000 more advance ballots than four years ago. This is the first midterm election in which early in-person voting has been available statewide, following a 2022 ballot initiative that expanded access.
