Rockwell Automation raises fiscal 2027 earnings outlook on strong industrial demand

Rockwell Automation forecast fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings of $14.50 to $15.50 per share, with organic sales growth expected between 6% and 9%. The industrial automation company cited sustained demand in data centers, semiconductors, and manufacturing as key drivers for another year of growth.

Fourth-quarter results showed reported sales rising 1% and adjusted earnings increasing 16% to $3.88 per share. The company benefited from $103 million in U.S. Government tariff refunds and initiated a customer refund program for earlier price increases, which helped expand the enterprise operating margin to 22.2% for the full year.

Sales to discrete industries rose 20%, led by semiconductor and automotive sectors. Semiconductor sales increased nearly 50%, while automotive sales climbed 15% to their highest quarterly level in two years. The company plans to combine semiconductor and data center sales reporting starting in fiscal 2027.

Rockwell expects approximately 3 percentage points of underlying price realization in fiscal 2027 to help offset inflation pressures from memory and electrical components. Annual recurring revenue is projected to grow 7%, up from 5% in fiscal 2026, as project delays and digital infrastructure rollouts improve.
