Michigan gas prices climb to highest average since May
Michigan’s average gas price rose to $4.36 a gallon Monday, its highest level since May, according to AAA Michigan. The statewide average was up 13 cents from last week, 31 cents from last month and $1.22 from a year ago.
Branch County prices were among the highest in the state at $4.40 a gallon Monday morning. Nearby averages included $4.28 in Calhoun County, $4.26 in Hillsdale County and $4.36 in St. Joseph County.
GasBuddy listed prices across the Indiana border in Steuben County between $3.57 and $3.59 a gallon. Lansing and Jackson had Michigan’s highest listed prices at $4.43, while Marquette had the lowest at $4.15.
