Eaton Rapids thrift shop collects school supplies for families
An Eaton Rapids thrift shop is collecting donated school supplies and distributing them to families at no cost as back-to-school season approaches.
Good Shepherd's Love City Consignment spends the first week of each month collecting donations, then begins distributing backpacks filled with supplies the following week and continues through the rest of the month, Executive Director Korey Sullivan said.
Sullivan said donations have continued steadily even as supply costs have increased. The shop’s biggest needs are backpacks and pencil cases, and visitors may also make monetary donations.
