M-50/M-99 closure in Eaton Rapids continues through Friday

A stretch of M-50/M-99 near Kinneville Road in Eaton Rapids has been closed for a culvert replacement project, with the closure expected to last until Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.

The Michigan Department of Transportation issued a permit allowing the Eaton County Drain Commission to replace the Hobart Drain culvert as part of the work.

MDOT officials said the closure is necessary to protect the safety of utility workers and motorists during the operation.
