Lansing shelter marks first year in expanded facility
The City Rescue Mission of Lansing is marking one year since relocating to a renovated facility on Kalamazoo Street.
The larger shelter includes upgraded living spaces, resource centers and expanded capacity for Lansing’s unhoused population. The facility doubles the mission’s capacity and can house up to 300 people.
Officials said demand for shelter remains high, but the expansion is helping address Lansing’s shortage of available beds.
