Maple City man charged after child exploitation investigation

Michigan State Police arrested Thomas Joseph Dahir III, 46, of Maple City, on charges including aggravated child sexually abusive activity, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

The investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Police seized digital evidence during a search of Dahir’s residence. He was arraigned Monday in 86th Judicial District Court.
