White House bowling alley set for another renovation under Trump
A private bowling alley used by White House staff and guests is slated for new lighting work under President Donald Trump. The General Services Administration awarded nearly $253,000 on July 28 for the project, along with an additional $8,880 contract for construction access services.
The administration also awarded $878,000 on Aug. 18 for an unspecified basement studio project in the same executive office building. The bowling alley was previously renovated during Trump’s first administration after earlier plans under former President Barack Obama drew Republican criticism over taxpayer priorities.
