Judge keeps block on federal mail-voting restrictions
A federal judge on Monday declined the Trump administration’s request to overturn a temporary restraining order blocking the U.S. Postal Service from enforcing parts of a new rule restricting mail-in voting procedures.
The 14-day order followed a court challenge to President Trump’s March executive order on mailed ballots. A Postal Service official separately alleged the agency was pursuing a rushed effort to implement the order despite the court’s restrictions.
