Billy Strings joined metal band for surprise Ionia performance

Billy Strings joined Montreal death metal band Cryptopsy during its Saturday night performance at the Ionia County Fairgrounds, playing on “Open Face Surgery” at the two-day Ionia Freak Fair.

Strings later attended Cryptopsy’s Sunday show in Grand Rapids and joined the band for the same song again, according to a video he shared afterward.
