WalletHub Names Kalamazoo College Michigan’s top private college

WalletHub’s 2027 Best Colleges and Universities rankings released Monday placed Kalamazoo College as Michigan’s top‑ranked private college and the state’s second overall institution.

The consumer‑research site evaluated nearly 740 institutions nationwide on 30 measures across seven categories, including student selectivity, cost and financing, faculty resources, campus safety, campus experience, education outcomes, and career outcomes.

Kalamazoo College earned first place in the state for student‑to‑faculty ratio, fourth in graduation rate, and seventh in admission rate, underscoring its reputation for personalized education in the liberal arts and sciences.
