Man Seriously injured in late-night I-96 crash in Windsor Township

A 67-year-old DeWitt man was hospitalized with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 96 in Windsor Township on Tuesday night. The Accident occurred around 11 p.m. On October 14 between Eaton Rapids Road and Lansing Road.

Police reported that the man attempted to pass a semi-truck in the right lane, which was closed for a tow operation, and struck an unoccupied patrol vehicle from behind. His vehicle then moved into the left lane, where it was struck by the semi-truck he had been trying to pass. No troopers or the semi-truck driver were injured.
