Mike Rogers joins John James for Lansing door-knocking push
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers joined gubernatorial candidate John James and attorney general candidate Doug Lloyd in Lansing on Saturday to promote a statewide door-knocking effort as Michigan’s early in-person voting began. Rogers said his campaign had reached more than seven million doors and aimed to reach 7.5 million before Election Day on November 3.
The event, held in Ingham County, also featured State Representative Tom Barrett and local college student volunteers. Rogers described the canvassing initiative as a key strategy to mobilize voters in the final weeks of the campaign, calling the Senate race one of the most important in the country.
During the rally, Rogers sharply criticized his opponent, Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, labeling him the most radical and anti-business candidate running for the Senate. Barrett urged volunteers not to take the election for granted, noting the competitiveness of his own congressional race, while Lloyd emphasized public safety and law enforcement priorities.
