Housing and cost of living top Roscommon County needs survey

Housing stability and the cost of living emerged as the top community needs in a recent survey conducted by the Roscommon County Community Foundation. Of the 423 responses received, 182 respondents, or 43.03 percent, identified these areas as requiring the most attention and resources.

Other frequently mentioned concerns included employment and economic opportunity, youth activities and programs, and senior housing and support. Heather Marra, the foundation's development manager, stated that the findings will guide future grantmaking and community impact efforts.

The survey is part of the foundation's ongoing effort to understand changing needs throughout Roscommon County. The organization plans to use the results to evaluate how its grants and initiatives can better support local organizations working directly with residents.
