Michigan football continues pursuit of Georgia-bound quarterback Jayden Wade
Michigan is maintaining its recruitment of five-star quarterback Jayden Wade, who remains committed to Georgia despite a recent visit to Ann Arbor. The No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 2028 class has been with the Bulldogs since November 2025, but Wolverines officials are not conceding the battle.
Wade, a 6-foot-4 dual-threat from IMG Academy, cited Michigan's aggressive approach as a key factor in his interest. The coaching staff leveraged a prior relationship dating to their time at Utah to secure his campus visit, aiming to replicate the success of flipping Bryce Underwood from LSU.
Although a commitment flip is not imminent, Michigan has until the 2028 signing period to strengthen its case. The program hopes to demonstrate its offensive system's ability to develop elite talent, with current commitment Kamden Lopati also on the roster.
National recruiting analysts note that while Georgia remains the team to beat, Michigan's persistent pursuit keeps the situation open. The Wolverines view the continued engagement as a vital opportunity to secure another top prospect at the quarterback position.
