Bitcoin dips below $80,000 on Hot inflation data

Bitcoin briefly fell below $80,000 on Thursday after the U.S. Labor Department reported that producer prices rose in September at the fastest pace in more than four years. The digital asset hit a low of $79,805 in the morning before recovering to trade near $81,028.

The new data followed a higher-than-expected Consumer Price Index release the previous day, reinforcing concerns that inflation remains sticky in the world's largest economy. Traders are now betting that the Federal Reserve may keep interest rates higher for longer to combat price increases.

Bitcoin is currently nearly 36% below its record high of $126,080 set in October 2025. Although the asset shed nearly 3% of its value over the past week, analysts say it has exited the bear market that dominated most of 2026 following a rally in late summer.
