Clinton Township man pleads guilty in trafficking case
A Clinton Township man pleaded guilty Thursday in connection with a Metro Detroit human trafficking ring that state officials described as one of the largest uncovered in Michigan.
Jon Villasurda Sr. pleaded guilty on July 30 to one count of transporting a person for prostitution. He is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 10.
Two others charged in the case, Huazi Piao and Jingyu Jin, recently pleaded to one count of conducting a criminal enterprise. Piao was sentenced in October 2025, and Jin is scheduled for sentencing Sept. 3.
